Alan Davidson,
I have had a talk with Maria Paula the other day, and wish to convey the following message to you.
What you have done, sending letters to a large number of affiliates of IndustriALL with your different allegations is clearly done on your own behalf, and not on behalf of Maria Paula. It is a serious attempt to give IndustriALL a bad reputation for reasons that are all you own and nobody else’s. It does not have the support of Maria Paula, and you have put her in a very difficult position, especially towards the affiliates that have received your letters.
Our collective agreement is a matter between IndustriALL staff and its leadership. Staff are the only people that are parties to the agreement, although family members of staff may also derive advantages from it. If staff have concerns about the interpretation of our collective agreement, there are ways of dealing with these through the agreement itself or through other measures. We will deal with all complaints from staff in a serious manner.
I hope you will let staff and leadership handle eventual differences they might have without presenting yourself as someone that would know the ins and outs of every situation. If staff needs representation these systems are also in place.
Best regards
Atle
