A new battle begins in 2026
There were six Guardia Civils in front of me, and I was starting to be scared as they had a reputation for being violent. I kept appealing to my mother to explain to them that she agreed to my being present in her house. My mother could not say a word. She was in utter shock. The police wanted me to exit the house. I was starting to be terrified. I was fifty-four years old, and I had never been in such a situation before. One Guardia Civil distracted me, and another one, measuring more than two meters, pulled me off the couch and onto the floor and jumped on me. I started screaming out of pure fear, and to calm me down, he slapped me several times across the face. I was flipped over onto my stomach, and my hands were handcuffed behind my back. I was able to turn my head towards my mother in an effort to appeal to her once more. And would you believe what happened next? I was astonished by my mother because all I could see was my 89-year-old mother hitting the Guardia Civil with an empty plastic Coca-Cola bottle. Even in this tragic moment, I could see the funny side of things. My mother’s instinct had been to defend her son!Click here for the continuation of this true story
